The Overlay Permission Assist feature helps you manage Uber’s overlay settings, allowing you to quickly enable or disable the permission that controls whether Uber can display over other apps. This prevents Uber from forcing its overlay on top of other apps.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
-
Going Online with Maxymo and Uber:
- Open Maxymo and tap "Go Online."
- Maxymo will switch to the Uber app.
-
Handling Overlay Permission Requests:
- If Uber requires the overlay permission to be enabled, Maxymo will redirect you to the Uber app’s Settings screen.
- Scroll down to "Display over other apps" and toggle the permission ON.
- Switch back to the Uber app to proceed online. (you do need to close the setting screen)
-
Disabling the Overlay Permission:
- Once you are online with Uber, Maxymo will bring you back to the same settings screen.
- Disable the "Display over other apps" permission.
- Return to the Uber app.
-
Continuing with Other Apps:
- After you have disabled the overlay, Maxymo will continue managing other apps in your queue, bringing them online if needed.
This workflow allows you to efficiently go online with Uber while maintaining control over overlay permissions, as demonstrated in this [YouTube Short].
