** THIS IS REQUIRED FOR ANDROID 13 OR GREATER **
With the release of android 13 Google has implemented a new security feature to help prevent scam apps from using accessibility service & other features to better protect users, so we suggest ONLY doing this method for apps you trust & ONLY download our app from https://acceptordecline.
- Go to phone settings > accessibility > installed apps > tap drivers utility helper. You should see a pop up message like this. (You must do this first before continuing)
- Find the drivers utility helper app icon, then press & hold the icon (or navigate to phone settings > apps > drivers utility helper)
- Tap the 3 dot menu in the upper right hand corner
- Tap allow restricted settings
Some devices may need developer options enabled, if this is your case please see this link, then try the instructions above again.
Enable Developer options: https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-get-developer-options-on-android/
Once you have enabled the restricted settings, go back to the app and tap allow permissions. The first screen you will be taken to is the accessibility screen, this is required so that the app can automate certain functions on your device, such as accept or decline the order.
Click the enable accessibility button at the bottom of the screen. Depending on your android device & version you will want to look for Installed Services, Installed apps or Drivers Utility Helper. Once you are on the accessibility service screen for the drivers utility helper app, tap the switch to enable it. This will prompt a default android alert letting you now the permissions you are about to enable, click allow and you should be taken back to the app.
The second permission is for storage which allows the app to store certain data and also images taken from the built in timestamp camera. Tap the enable storage button at the bottom of your screen, then click allow.
On the next permission the device is asking permission to read your device notifications, this allow the app to know when an order is incoming to your device. Failure to allow this permission might result in certain functions not working properly. To enable tap the enable notification permission button at the bottom of the screen, then find Drivers Utility Helper and enable it. This will prompt a default android alert letting you now the permissions you are about to enable, click allow one more time, once the permission has been enabled it will take you back to the app.
The next permission is to show over other apps, also known as the overlay control. This permission allows the app to tell you certain functions about the incoming order, such as the average time to complete an order or the price per mile. Once again tap the permissions tab at the bottom of the screen, then click enable.
The next permission is for the devices location, this allows the app to keep track of the miles you have driven as well as the location for the timestamp camera. Tap enable location button, then click allow and finally tap allow while using this app.
The last permission is to help optimize your device, which will try and stop the device from shutting off certain functions that aren't always being used. Click Optimize and then click allow.
